When you join BAMSI's nursing team, you join a group of dedicated care givers, both RN's and LPN's who enjoy making lives better through hands on, personalized direct care that challenge critical thinking, analytical abilities, and support for wellness. Nurse Managers are the lead members of the multi-disciplinary team. The Nurse Manager will case manage the health care needs of individuals, provide training to staff, and communicate health care information to funders and other stakeholders. at BAMSI our nurses are in a unique position to provide care for individuals served in their home, in the community and with their friends. Our community-based group homes for adults with complex medical needs, developmental disabilities, acquired brain injury and/or mental illness are designed to support individuals in a large comfortable home setting. Persons served are encouraged to become active members of their communities including engaging in employment, volunteer activities as well as social and recreational activities. Our homes house 3-8 individuals each providing an opportunity to build relationship with those that you care for and their families.
A lead member of the multi-disciplinary team. The Nurse Manager will case manage the health care needs of individuals living in a community setting; provide training to staff; communicate health care information to funders and other stakeholders.

The Office Assistant Provides administrative assistance to Clinic Director, Prescribers, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and Clinical Supervisors as needed and assigned. Assist the Operations Supervisor/CBHI Coordinator with the coordination of WCC intakes and referrals. Maintain oversight of front office operations. Check-in persons-served and collect appropriate co-payments for services rendered.
BAMSI’s outpatient mental health clinic, Whitman Counseling Center, is licensed by the Department of Public Health and accredited by CARF. The center is committed to empowering people to achieve their full potential through a variety of therapeutic approaches. We provide services for children and adults who are experiencing difficulty in their lives due to psychiatric or emotional symptoms.

The Community Coordinator is the liaison with health and human services providers, advocacy organizations and communities served by the local Women, Infant and Children Program (WIC). The Community Coordinator builds an active, coordinated referral network and collaborative working relationships between community agencies, groups and WIC to promote the utilization of WIC services. The community coordinator assists with activities to strengthen the communication with WIC participants about their eligibility.

(BAMSI) was incorporated on March 21, 1975 as South Shore Multi-Services Inc., under Chapter 180 of the Massachusetts General Laws, as a not-for-profit human service organization. On July 9, 1975, it changed its name to Brockton Area Multi-Services, Inc. It was formed for the development, coordination, and delivery of integrated human service programs, and according to its website, its mission is “to empower people and enrich their lives, through compassionate support and diverse services, one individual, one family a time.” BAMSI employees up to 2,000 people and operates adult, child, and family services, assisting approximately 30,000 individuals each year in Worcester, Middlesex, Norfolk, Bristol, and Plymouth Counties.
