Overview

 

 

General Statement of Duties:  Maintain overall responsibility for the administrative integrity of the CBHI Level of Care provided at HBT.  Develop and maintain an integrated network of services and supports for children and families that is strengths-focused, family-centered, community-based and inclusive of parents in all aspects of service design and delivery. Coordinate all clinical and other treatment services as well as brokering informal supports and broad community involvement. Provide customized, wraparound support services to families with children who are emotionally disturbed.  Supervise, recruit and train all resource and support staff. Provide parent support, education and advocacy

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and model collaborative partnerships with families and community providers.
  2. Intake, prepare, and monitor new referrals for HBT in a timely and family friendly fashion.
  3. Track program census and staff availability for a more seamless and productive referral process.
  4. Manage program budget and monitor utilization of authorized units.
  5. Monitor and track monthly billing.
  6. Review and track required documentation for HUB dependent services (i.e. Treatment Plans, Care Plans, CANS, etc)
  7. Attend bi-monthly BAMSI Network meetings.
  8. Participate in all interviews, recruitment and the hiring process for HBT staff.
  9. Provide direct clinical supervision and oversight to program staff as designated by Program Director
  10. Assistant Program Director will maintain a caseload of 3-5 youth and/or families (or maintain billable hours of 10 per week).
  11. Complete annual performance evaluations for designated staff.
  12. Orient new staff to BAMSI/HBT policy and procedure.
  13. Identify staff training needs and coordinate and/or implement training programs.
  14. Ensure timely submission of daily Progress Notes and review content for thoroughness and accuracy.
  15. Attend Care Plan and Family Team meetings as scheduled and/or required.
  16. Request and attend emergency team meetings as needed.
  17. Ensure that treatment is implemented as planned by the Team.
  18. Work cooperatively with other programs within the division to ensure a comprehensive and consistent treatment approach.
  19. Respond to urgent crisis management needs of the Lead agency and other referral sources.
  20. Maintain consumer satisfaction services for HBT.
  21. Utilize family input and a variety of treatment modalities to support and empower families to access and interface with ancillary services, both within and outside the agency.
  22. Assist the family and team in identifying service gaps and developing community based plans to address the needs of families.
  23. Participate in 24/7 on-call system.
  24. Provide information and education to families regarding rights, diagnostic issues, mediations, legal issues, education rights, entitlements and responsibilities within the children’s service delivery system.
  25. Empower families to interface and work with their local service providers by providing them with the necessary support and information.
  26. Provide telephone consultation in case of emergencies involving person’s served/families to assist in effective intervention.
  27. Provide flexible and comprehensive home based and hospital diversion services.
  28. Participate in Senior Management and other required BAMSI meetings as assigned.
  29. Ensure program compliance with QA standards.
  30. Perform duties to reflect agency/program policies and philosophy.
  31. Execute duties to reflect reasonable safety standards. Universal/standard safety precautions must be utilized and training obtained in areas that constitute risk.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in a social science field with independent licensure (LMFT, LMHC, LICSW, and LADAC) required
  • Ability to constructively negotiate the system and communicate effectively with service providers and administrators.
  • Three to five years experience working with SED youth and families preferred.
  • Understanding and experience working with clinical disorder and challenges such as PTSD, Anxiety, Mood, Depression, Addiction, and domestic violence.
  • Knowledge/experience working with state systems (i.e. DMH, DCF, DYS)
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Experience delivering wraparound services preferred.
  • Family Systems/Child/Adolescent trained.
  • Understanding and Knowledge of the Wraparound Framework and meeting facilitation.
  • Must be flexible and able to respond to families under stress and in crisis.
  • Must have scheduling flexibility to meet families’ needs.
  • Strong administrative/organizational skills.
  • Strong computer and communication skills.
  • Must have valid driver’s license in state of residence and own means of transportation.
